Navigating Pastel Links: Browse and Comment Modes Explained

To use a Pastel link and toggle between "browse" and "comment" modes, follow these simple steps:

  1. Receive the Pastel link: Someone will provide you with a Pastel link, which is a unique URL that allows you to view and comment on a specific project

  2. Open the Pastel link: Click or copy the Pastel link provided to you, and open it in your web browser.

  3. Browse mode: By default, the Pastel link will open in the "browse" mode. In this mode, you can freely navigate and review the project.

  4. Comment mode: To switch to the "comment" mode and start providing feedback or suggesting revisions, look for a toolbar or an interface element that allows you to access the commenting features. This may be located at the top, bottom, or sides of the page.

  5. Enable comment mode: Once you find the commenting features, click on the corresponding button or option to activate the comment mode. It could be a button that says "Comment" or an icon that represents commenting.

  6. Add comments: In the comment mode, you can now add your feedback or suggestions for revisions directly on the project. Click on the specific area or element on the page where you want to leave a comment. A comment box or dialog should appear where you can type your feedback.

  7. Submit comments: After typing your comment, click a "Submit" or "Send" button to save and post your comment. You can add as many comments as needed by repeating this process.

  8. Browse mode (again): To switch back to the "browse" mode and continue exploring the project, look for an option or button that allows you to exit the comment mode. It might be labeled as "Exit comment mode" or an icon indicating the end of commenting.

  9. Continue browsing: Once you exit the comment mode, you can freely navigate the project again, just like in step 3. You can scroll, click links, and interact with the content without leaving any comments.

  10. Repeat as needed: You can toggle between the "browse" and "comment" modes multiple times if you need to switch between exploring the project and leaving comments for revisions. Follow steps 4 to 9 to switch modes whenever necessary.

  11. Once you are finished browsing & commenting please notify your point of contact that you are ready for our team to work on any revisions needed, or that the project is approved!
