How Do I Send Access for My Facebook and Instagram Accounts?

This article outlines the steps for granting access to Facebook and Instagram accounts.

To grant access to your Facebook Page, please follow these steps:

  1. Access Your Facebook Business Settings
  2. Invite a Partner
    • Navigate to 'Users' and then select 'Partners'
    • Click the blue 'Add' button and choose 'Give a partner access to your assets'
  3. Enter Partner Business ID
    • Enter the partner's Business ID
      • Note: This ID is “625741554290823” for Dental Marketing
  4. Choose Assets
    • Select the Facebook Page you wish to share access to
    • You can also include additional assets, if needed
  5. Set Access Level
    • On the right-hand side, specify the level of access you want to grant (preferably 'All access')
  6. Save Changes
    • Finally, click 'Save Changes' to send the invitation

If, after following these steps, you or your team still can't access the Business Manager, it's possible that you may not have access to it. In that case you’ll need to determine who in the practice has access to it. You can follow these steps for guidance: 

 

Option 1. Video Reference

  1. Visit your Facebook Page (i.e https://www.facebook.com/practicename)
  2. To the right of your Page name, click or tap Manage

  3. The professional Dashboard will open. (In case you can’t find your Professional Dashboard please follow Meta Steps here)
  4. Under ‘Your Tools” click on Page Access
    • Check for Business Portfolio Access
      • Check if there's a business account listed under 'Business portforlio access'
      • If found, this is the Business Account that owns the Facebook Page
    • Follow Previous Steps to Send Access
      • If an individual with Business Manager access is identified, then that individual can follow the previously provided steps to grant access
    • Notify Our Team
      • If no Business Manager is listed under ‘Page Acccess’, then any Page admin should be able to accept a Facebook Page request
      • In this case, please notify our team and we will send a request on our end for FB page access - this request will come via email and then you can accept the request from there 

    Option 2. Video reference
    1. Log into Facebook Business Suite:
      • Open your web browser and go to business.facebook.com.
      • Log in with your Facebook credentials if you are not already logged in.
      • You will land on the Business Suite dashboard.
    2. Select the Correct Page:
      • On the Business Suite dashboard, locate and select the page you want to check.
    3. Navigate to Settings:
      • On the left-hand menu, click on “Settings.”
    4. Access Users:
      • In the settings menu, click on “Users.”
      • Select “People” to view the list of individuals who have access to your page.

    5. Review Access Levels:
      • Review the list of people and their access levels.
      • If you have "partial access," you cannot accept invites or make significant changes to the account.

    6. Determine Your Access Level:
      • Check your name in the list and confirm if you have "partial access" or "full control."
      • If you have partial access, proceed to the next step.

    7. Request Full Access:
      • If you have partial access, identify the person with full access.
      • Contact this person and request full access or ask them to accept an invite again.
      • You may need to redo the steps previously sent to you if the invite needs to be re-sent.


    How to Share Instagram Account Access

    If the Instagram account is already linked to your Business Manager, please follow these steps:

    1. Access Your Facebook Business Settings
    2. Find Dental Marketing (or Add Business Partner ID)
      • Go to 'Users' > 'Partners'
      • Locate 'Dental Marketing' from the partner list
        • If not already present, add Business Partner ID “625741554290823” as a new partner and then proceed
    3. Share Instagram Account
      • Click 'Share Assets' and select 'Instagram Accounts'
      • Choose the appropriate Instagram account and enable 'Everything' for full admin access
      • Save your changes

    If the Instagram account is not already linked to your Business Manager, follow these steps to link it:

    1. Access Your Facebook Business Settings
    2. Add Instagram Account
      • Go to 'Accounts' > 'Instagram Accounts'
      • Click the blue 'Add' button
    3. Connect Your Instagram Account
      • Follow the prompts to connect your Instagram account by entering your username and password
      • Click 'Finish' to complete the connection
    4. Follow Previous Steps to Send Access
      • Once your Instagram account is linked to the Business Manager, please follow the previous steps to share access with us
