Learn how to quickly update your domain’s DNS records to ensure your Webflow-hosted website or landing page continues running smoothly during Webflow’s migration to Cloudflare. This guide provides simple, step-by-step instructions for domain owners w
Website Update
1. Log in to your domain registrar
This is the website where you purchased or manage your domain (examples: GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, Bluehost, Cloudflare, HostGator).
Once logged in, go to:
DNS / DNS Manager / DNS Settings — depending on your provider.
2. Update your DNS records
Your domain currently uses Webflow’s old DNS records. Please replace them with the new ones below:
A. Root domain (@ record)
Remove any existing A records for the root domain (@), then add this A record:
|
Type |
Name |
Value |
| A | @ | 198.202.211.1 |
⚠️ Important: Make sure this is the only A record for @.
B. “www” record
Update your existing www CNAME or remove it and add this:
|
Type |
Name |
Value |
| CNAME | www | cdn.webflow.com |
If your provider asks for TTL, you can leave it at the default value.
3. Save your changes
Every registrar shows a “Save,” “Apply,” or “Confirm” button. Make sure your changes are fully saved.
4. Allow the updates to propagate
DNS changes may take anywhere between a few minutes up to 24 hours to fully update across the internet.
Your website will remain online during this process.
5. Let us know once you’re done
